Big Island Dairy Farmers fight radiation with Boron
In the past weeks radioactive levels have increased in Hawaii, with high spikes and a more current leveling off of radiation levels. Milk from the large dairies in Hamakua and Hawi has shown elevated levels of radiation, from 400 to 2400 times the recognized safe levels.–Why is milk contamination significant in the world of agriculture? Because milk represents the overall condition of the entire food chain, since cows consume grass and are exposed to the same elements as crops. So, when milk tests positive for radiation, it indicates the entire food chain is contaminated since cows eat grass. When grass is contaminated everything grown in the same soil is contaminated. This has proposed a serious concern to us farmers, with us asking what can we do? After much consideration, research, and conversations with much appreciated experts in the field of biological farming and human & animal health, we have found some things which we are able to do to protect our soil, animals, and bodies.—Aside from the much recognized supplement potassium iodine as a protection against radioactive iodine, there are a number of ways we can help. We have remembered our friend, elemental boron and the position it plays on the earth. Boron is the only mineral capable of accepting and ionizing radiation that never changes the innards or the nucleus of the cell. Spoken simply, boron can take radiation and release it without upsetting its own very delicate balance.–Boron is used extensively in the nuclear industry. Sodium borate is regularly used for standby liquid control systems, in case of emergencies. It was used in Cheronbyl in 1986 mixed with sand to prevent further radiation leakage. It was also used in 1999 in Tokaimura, Japan, to absorb the massive amounts of radiation after an accident at a plant. Currently it is being dumped on fuel rods and in surrounding waters of the Fukushima plant. Boron is widely recognized as extremely safe and can be used to capture radioactivity on our soils, gardens, orchards, etc. It also can be safely ingested by humans and animals. Boron will accept radiation and ionize it within our bodies, after which our bodies will safely excrement the boron and radioactivity.—We have begun feeding our cows and goats sodium borate at milking times, as well as adding it to free choice kelp and water troughs. In the past years we have monitored boron and other minerals in the soil and have added as necessary to bring levels up to recognized healthy levels. As a safety measure we are planning to implement a boron dosage to all of our pastures, as well as neighboring pastures. For humans, boron can safely ingested at a dosage of 4-10 mg per day. Borax, 11% boron, can be used as a tea and sprayed on your gardens, or land surrounding your home, at a rate of 10# of Borax per acre, 1#, if using elemental boron. Borax can also be ingested at 1/8 tsp to 1 litre water for women, ¼ tsp to 1 litre water for men. Fortunately, red wine and coffee are significant sources of boron, as well as non-citrus fruits, red grapes, plums, pears, apples, avocados, legumes and nuts! Boron is known to be non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic and has been used internally to protect the astronauts in space as they leave the earth’s protective magnetic field.–Other things we can do to protect our bodies are to consume zeolites, use potassium iodine, receive plenty of glutathione, the best source of which is whey!, eat plenty of supergreens, such as kale, but including chlorella and spirulina, maintain healthy mineral levels, and eat lots of good healthy fats, including raw butter, and coconuts, which offer a fantastic layer of protection for our cells. Baking soda has been known to diminish the severity of change produced by uranium to the kidneys, which are the first to show radiation damages of uranium. Dosage is 1 tsp to 8 oz water for adults and ¼ tsp in 4 oz water for children.–According to Cheryl McCoy, Aboutclay.com, Clay acts as a magnet absorbing anything with a positive charge, ie radiation and toxicity. She suggests washing all produce which may be considered radioactive in 1 part clay to 8 parts water in a non-metallic bowl, soaking for 10 minutes, then rinse and dry as usual. Clay can be added to catchment tanks, drinking water or raw milk to isolate radioactivity, which will not be released once captured by clay. Also, the body cannot digest clay, but will rather release clay through excrement. Clay can be added to milk or drinking water at a dosage of 1 oz Clay to 1 gallon raw milk or drinking water. Either allow to settle and pour off or mix and consume clay and liquid. 1-2 oz clay can be safely consumed per day by an adult, with significant detox abilities.-In these tenuous times it is all we can do to be honestly informed of the situation at hand and act accordingly. We are doing our best to protect our soil, animals and bodies from the elevated levels of radioactivity, and hope that you will also. Our prayers and blessings are with the farmers and families closer to the source of radioactive pollution. We send them our love and hopes for a green, safe future for all on this earth.

Chronic use of acetaminophen tied to blood cancers

NEW YORK— Chronic users of the painkiller acetaminophen are at a slightly increased risk for blood cancers, according to a U.S. study. But the risk remains low and it is still uncertain what role the drug plays, the study, published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, added. Earlier work has shown that aspirin use might lower the odds of dying from colon cancer but increase the risk of bleeding ulcers, though the picture has been less clear about blood, or hematologic, cancers.”A person who is age 50 or older has about a 1 percent risk in ten years of getting one of these cancers,” said Emily White at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, who worked on the study.”Our study suggests that if you use acetaminophen at least four times a week for at least four years, that would increase the risk to about 2 percent.”Noting that the current study was the first large prospective one on the issue, as opposed to individual case reports, she added that there’s still no proof that acetaminophen causes cancer. The new trials also need to be confirmed before being used in any treatment decision. White and her team followed nearly 65,000 older men and women in Washington state, all free of any history of cancer, except skin cancer, at the start. At the outset, they asked participants about their use of analgesics over the previous ten years. Over about six years on average, 577 people — or less than 1 percent — developed a hematologic cancer. More than 9 percent of those, though, used high amounts of acetaminophen, compared to only 5 percent of those who didn’t get sick. After accounting for things such as age, arthritis and a family history of certain blood cancers, chronic acetaminophen users had nearly twice the risk of developing the diseases. No other analgesics, including aspirin and ibuprofen, were tried to the risk of blood cancers. White said it’s still too soon to make any recommendations based on the study, adding that none of the painkillers is free of side effect

    Free Iodine Therapeutic Application
The eruptive and ulcerative affections of secondary syphilis; but here its influence is less certain, and it will generally be found to operate most effectually with the aid of mercury; the auxiliary being, in my apprehension, the most efficient agent of the two. in iritis it is considered by some, when given in the form of iodide of potassium, as second only to mercury, if it be not equal to that medicine in efficiency.
Rheumatism, both chronic and neuralgic, sometimes yields happily to iodide of potassium. It has seemed to me to be specially efficacious in those vague rheumatic pains, resembling the affection just treated of as constituting one of the features of old cases of syphilis. I have often seen it effectual in such instances, when there was no reason to suppose that the affection was in any way connected with that disease. It may be tried in other forms of rheumatism, among the alterative remedies to which we are often driven, one after another, by the obstinacy of the complaint, and the impatience of the sufferer; and sometimes, almost unexpectedly, it will seem to do much good; but it cannot be depended on.
A case of atrophic muscular paralysis was successfully treated by Mr. F. Taylor, of Woodstock, England, with iodide of potassium, given in doses of five grains three times daily[i2] . The disease affected both the upper and lower extremities, and finally the face, and was attended with great atrophy of the muscles, but without any loss of sensibility. In about two weeks from the commencement of the treatment, the patient could sit up in bed, in a few days more could walk with the aid of sticks, and in two months was quite restored to health. {Med. T. & Gaz., July 11, 1863, p. 37.)
Chronic cutaneous eruptions are also among the complaints in which iodine is often used as an alterative. Though much less effectual in these complaints than either arsenic or mercury, it sometimes appears to be useful, and may be resorted to in connection with the other alteratives mentioned, or in cases in which they may be forbidden. But more may be expected from the topical application of iodine, in these affections, than from its internal use. It may be employed, according to varying circumstances, in the form of a bath, of a lotion, or an ointment. There are few local applications more efficacious, in chronic skin diseases, than the ointment of iodide of sulphur. I consider it second only to the tar ointment. When the affection is very general, the iodine bath may be preferred. In strictly local cases, the tincture of iodine will often be found extremely effectual, sometimes putting an immediate end to the complaint. It requires, however, to be used with caution, when the eruption is a mere symptom of a constitutional affection. Of the great use of tincture of iodine in superficial inflammation, I shall have occasion to treat in another place.
In poisoning from mercury and lead, particularly the latter, iodide of potassium is an admirable remedy, operating apparently by displacing the metal lodged in the tissues, and then causing its elimination. (See vol. i. p. 153.) Some are disposed to ascribe its efficacy in the form of rheumatism above referred to, connected often with periosteal swelling, to this mode of action; believing that the affection is a kind of mercurial disease. I cannot believe this, until I find proofs, by the discharge of the mercurial by the kidneys, or by the evidence of its peculiar influence vol. ii.-23 on the system, when liberated from its confinement, and admitted into the circulation, that mercury really did exist in the tissues. it has not been my lot to meet with this affection directly traceable to mercury; though few persons have, I presume, in this community, administered it in a larger number of cases than myself. Still, I have no doubt that there are cases of chronic mercurial poisoning, in which the iodide of potassium may be advantageously administered. (See Mercury, page 260.) The medicine has been given, with supposed advantage, in cases of acute mercurialism; and, upon theoretical grounds, it should operate not less efficiently here than in the chronic cases, by eliminating the offending cause, supposing that the whole of the mercurial used has been absorbed, or evacuated from the bowels.
In lead poisoning, it seems, from the reports made in its favour, to be among the most effectual remedies at our command. in these cases, evidence of its efficiency has been given by the appearance of lead in the urine shortly after its employment. it is applicable to the treatment alike of colica pictonum, and the more chronic poisoning exhibited in lead palsy.
Anomalous tumours and ulcers, of an obstinate character, generally offer an indication for the use of iodine. The ulcerative affection of the mouth denominated canker, and those of the surface which accompany ecthyma, rupia, lupus, etc., may often be most usefully treated with iodine, or its preparations, internally or locally, or in the two methods jointly. in that form of alveolar periostitis, which is attended with ulceration about the teeth, and their ultimate loss, it is said to have effected cures. it might even be tried in that fatal affection sometimes taken by man from horses, and usually called glanders. A well-marked case of the disease in a horse is said to have ended favourably, under the tincture of iodine given internally in large doses. it may be used in chronic enlargements of the liver, spleen, uterus, and ovary, and in anomalous tumours forming in the mesentery, with some hope of benefit. it will, in the great majority of these cases, fail to be of any service; but sometimes the swellings disappear under its use, and it deserves a trial in all cases not absolutely desperate. Here it may be used both internally, and by extensive friction over the surface of the abdomen with the ointment. Under the impression of its resolvent powers, it has been recommended in the advanced stages of pneumonia, and in the chronic forms of that disease, when the hepatized or consolidated lung is little disposed to resolution. I have used it occasionally, with doubtful advantage.

    Abstract
The autoxidation of purified triacylglycerols of lard and sunflower oil (TGL and TGSO) containing 0.02, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.20% thymol and carvacrol was studied at ambient temperature. The results obtained with the inhibited lipid systems (thymol – TGL; carvacrol – TGL; thymol – TGSO and carvacrol – TGSO) showed that thymol had the highest antioxidant effectiveness and activity during TGSO oxidation. Thymol and carvacrol participated in one side reaction during inhibited TGL oxidation, and thymol took part in two side reactions during TGSO oxidation. Carvacrol molecules did not participate in side reactions during TGSO oxidation. Thymol and carvacrol contributed to chain initiation to a higher degree during TGSO oxidation than during TGL oxidation. Thymol radicals did not participate in chain propagation during TGL and TGSO oxidation. Carvacrol radicals took part in one reaction of chain propagation in both lipid systems. In general, during autoxidation of lipids at ambient temperature, thymol is a more effective and more active antioxidant than carvacrol. Both antioxidants differ in the mechanism of their inhibiting action which depends on the character of the lipid medium. Thymol is a better antioxidant in TGSO than in TGL, whereas the activity of carvacrol in the two lipid systems does not differ significantly.

When consuming fats any fat or supplement that is fat based –you want to reduce the oxidation process as much as possible- to do this you will need antioxidants—and here is one way of increasing n antioxidant that is relatively inexpensive and can be grown by anyone—you can utilize thyme or Savoury since they both have the antioxidants required to reduce the break down of the lipids ( fats) in the system—

Recipe-You can either Use an essential oil by adding drops to a oil container—750 ml container ( 25 oz) adding anywhere from 3-10 drops in the oil and then shake it well or adding one drop to a tablespoon of any oil you are consuming either straight up or cooking—you can as well add this to any beverage or meat or any food to either protect against any type of pathogen or bacterial or microbial problems —when consuming these foods or fats you will receive the added protection and benefit from not only the antioxidant effect but the anti bacterial-antifungal-antiviral and antimicrobial and antioxidant properties as well.

[i1]This is a amino acid derived from sea weed—funny they do not issue anything against Soy and it is derived through a hard chemical process to get the product to be a “ dangerous Health Food”
[i2] This would equate to 27 drops 3 times a day which would be about 1 gram
