The upcoming AVMA vote- Will it affect cat owners’ ability to feed raw pet food?

Cats fed a raw diet, like this one, tend to be healthier, more active, have silkier coats and possibly even live longer, provided the food is prepared correctly.–Raw pet food is becoming increasingly popular for many pet owners, and it’s thought that these pets are healthier overall than those fed commercial food, particularly dry food. But now, the American Veterinary Medical Association is getting ready to vote on a policy against raw feeding, which has people who use raw pet food and those who advocate for species-appropriate diets up in arms.—The commercial pet food industry has, for a long time, touted their food as the best type of food available for pets; they call it “balanced.” Cats, however, don’t naturally eat all the corn, rice, and other vegetable and grain products that make up commercial foods, and their digestive systems aren’t built like ours. They don’t process vegetable matter or grain very well and they don’t need the carbs for energy.—Another common product the pet food industry uses is animal by products, which can come from chicken, pork, fish and even beef. The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) has determined that animal by products are acceptable for pet consumption, and defines by products as kidneys, spleens, bones, brains, livers, and other non-meat products,[U1] so when you’re looking at the ingredient lists on bags of cat food, this is what they’re talking about when they say, “[meat] by product.” —Meat meal is defined by the AAFCO as the rendered product from animal tissues, but doesn’t include things like blood, hooves, hair, fur or feathers, manure, hides, stomachs or intestines.[U2] However, meat meal is not much better for cats than meat by products are. —It’s because of all this that raw and natural feeding is getting so popular. According to Dr. Peter Dobias, a veterinarian experienced in both conventional and holistic veterinary medicine, the pet food industry is primarily responsible for educating veterinarians about pet nutrition, and is using people’s fear of bacteria and food-borne illnesses as a means of turning people back towards buying their food. He asserts that his patients who are fed raw or natural diets are far healthier than his patients who are fed commercial diets. He is one of those speaking out loudly against the AVMA’s proposed policy.–However, there does seem to be some misinformation regarding the proposed policy. Some seem to think that their freedom to feed their pets raw diets will be wholly taken away or, at the very least, restricted. The AVMA cannot enact law and as such, they can’t prevent people from feeding their pets raw food no matter what policies they set forth. So regardless of their policy, people who feed raw diets may continue to do so at their discretion. —One major point of interest, however, is that this policy is based primarily on possibilities, specifically, the possibility of bacterial contamination that is present whenever any raw or undercooked meat is handled or eaten. Most people know, or are at least aware, of safe handling practices for all raw food, which helps to prevent the spread of food-borne illness. Their policy cites well-known possibilities of bacterial contamination, however, fails to mention anything concrete that shows that cats and dogs fed raw diets suffer from food-related illnesses more often than their commercially fed counterparts. It’s simply based on the “public health risks” associated with using raw meat.—Dr. Lisa Pierson, a veterinarian with a raw-food recipe for cats on her website, explains why a raw diet is not likely to make cats sick. Essentially, she explains that cats have a much shorter digestion time than humans do, giving bacteria very little time to set in. She also says that whole raw meat, when handled properly, likely has less bacteria in it than commercial dry foods. —Further, she discusses why fully cooking meat can destroy nutrients that naturally occur in the meat, although she does recommend par-boiling or partial baking before grinding the meat. —Basically, so long as you practice the same safe-handling procedures that you normally would when handling raw meat, such as washing your hands, dishes, and utensils thoroughly with soap and hot water, disposing of any unused or uneaten raw meat promptly, chill (refrigerate or freeze) the food as soon as you’re finished making it and serving it, and keep different foods and utensils separate, you should be okay. The USDA does also recommend cooking meat thoroughly before eating, however they’re talking about human consumption, not feline consumption.—In short, whatever the AVMA decides will probably not affect whether you can continue to feed your cat a raw diet. It will likely encourage many vets to try and discourage using raw pet food, but so long as your cats are healthy, even your vet will have little reason to tell you to change their diet back to commercially manufactured food.

Zyflamend suppresses growth and sensitizes human pancreatic tumors to gemcitabine in an orthotopic mouse model through modulation of multiple targets.

Abstract–Agents that can potentiate the efficacy of standard chemotherapy against pancreatic cancer are of great interest. Because of their low cost and safety, patients commonly use a variety of dietary supplements, although evidence of their efficacy is often lacking. One such commonly used food supplement is Zyflamend, a polyherbal preparation with potent anti-inflammatory activities and preclinical efficacy against prostate and oral cancer. Whether Zyflamend has any efficacy against human pancreatic cancer alone or in combination with gemcitibine, a commonly used agent, was examined in cell cultures and in an orthotopic mouse model. In vitro, Zyflamend inhibited the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cell lines regardless of p53 status and also enhanced gemcitabine-induced apoptosis. This finding correlated with inhibition of NF-κB activation by Zyflamend and suppression of cyclin D1, c-myc, COX-2, Bcl-2, IAP, survivin, VEGF, ICAM-1 and CXCR4. In nude mice, oral administration of Zyflamend alone significantly inhibited the growth of orthotopically transplanted human pancreatic tumors, and when combined with gemcitabine, further enhanced the antitumor effects. Immunohistochemical and Western blot analyses of tumor tissue showed that the suppression of pancreatic cancer growth correlated with inhibition of proliferation index marker (Ki-67), COX-2, MMP-9, NF-κB and VEGF. Overall, these results suggest that the concentrated multiherb product Zyflamend alone can inhibit the growth of human pancreatic tumors and, in addition, can sensitize pancreatic cancers to gemcitabine through the suppression of multiple targets linked to tumorigenesis.—PMID: 21935918 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE]
Recipe Mender—if you cannot afford to buy this then make it—what you will need is rosemary-green tea-tumeric-ginger-nettle burdock-oregano( meditereanan)-black seed —from here we will modify the formula a wee bit so as not to cause undue issues —what you will do is add equal portions to a blender—1 tsp or 1 oz ( as an example ) you can modify this to your desire—add 3 parts alcohol to this regimen—and proceed to blend—and blend for 10 minutes—stop the blender—strain the extract—then take the extract-simmer it down to about half the volume—when it gets to half the volume the take 1-2 oz of either sunflower oil-olive oil—or sesame seed oil and again blend this in a blender for about 10 minutes—-when done shut off blender and pour this in a dark glass container—
Use ¼ tsp several times a day—this will break down tumours and support liver-lung-brain-stomach-oesphagus-boost immune system and increase antioxidant levels-will have anti bacterial and anti fungal and anti mold and anti viral properties as well—and then you can just call it Mender of the System

German National Academy of Sciences issues a critical statement on the use of bioenergy
Berlin, Germany (SPX) Aug 01, 2012
In a statement on the chances and limits of using bioenergy, the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina has come to the conclusion that in quantitative terms, bioenergy plays a minor role in the transition to renewable, sustainable energy sources in Germany at the present time and probably in the future.—Bioenergy requires more surface area, is associated with higher greenhouse gas emissions and is more harmful to the environment than other renewable sources such as photovoltaic, solar thermal energy and wind energy.—In addition, energy crops potentially compete with food crops. The report recommends finding strategies for saving energy and increasing energy efficiency.—The Leopoldina’s statement “Bioenergy – Chances and Limits” was compiled by a working group of more than 20 expert scientists established in 2010. The report provides recommendations for using bioenergy, defined as energy obtained from burning of non-fossil plant biomass or biofuels derived primarily from biomass.–The statement also outlines under which conditions the utilization of bioenergy is appropriate and what kind of technologies are currently available or are being developed to convert biomass into biofuels such as bioethanol and biodiesel.—In addition, it introduces various scientific approaches aimed at producing hydrogen from water in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.–The statement extends earlier Leopoldina reports on the topic of energy: “Konzept fur ein integriertes Energieforschungsprogramm fur Deutschland”, 2009 (“Concept for an Integrated Energy Research Programme for Germany, 2009”) and “Energy- and research-policy recommendations following the events in Fukushima”, 2011

Investigation of optimum roasting conditions to obtain possible health benefit supplement, antioxidants from coffee beans.
    J Diet Suppl. 2011 Sep;8(3):293-310
Authors: Sulaiman SF, Moon JK, Shibamoto T
Abstract–In order to investigate the role of roasting conditions in antioxidant formation, methanol and hot water extracts from Robusta coffee beans roasted for various lengths of time and at various temperatures were analyzed for total phenolic acid, chlorogenic acid, and caffeine content, as well as for their antioxidant activities using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH), thiobarbituric acid (TBA), and malonaldehyde/gas chromatography (MA/GC) assays. The amount of total phenolics in methanol extracts decreased linearly over the roasting temperature from 63.51 ± 0.77 mg chlorogenic acid equivalent (CAE)/g coffee beans (roasted at 200°C) to 42.56 ± 0.33 mg CAE/g coffee beans (roasted at 240°C). The total chlorogenic acid content decreased when the roasting time was increased from 78.33 ± 1.41 mg/g (green coffee beans) to 4.31 ± 0.23 mg/g (roasted for 16 min at 250°C). All methanol extracts from roasted coffee beans possessed over 90% antioxidant activities in the DPPH assay. The antioxidant activity of methanol extracts ranged from 41.38 ± 1.77% (roasted at 250°C for 10 min) to 98.20 ± 1.49% (roasted at 230°C for 16 min) as tested by the TBA assay. The antioxidant activity of methanol extracts of green coffee beans and roasted coffee beans ranged from 93.01% (green coffee beans) to 98.62 ± 1.32% (roasted at 250°C for 14 min) in the MA/GC assays. All hot water extracts exhibited moderate pro-oxidant activities in TBA and MA/GC assays. The results indicated that roasting conditions of coffee beans play an important role in the formation of antioxidants in brewed coffee, which can be dietary supplements having beneficial effect to human health.–PMID: 22432728 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE]

Perception, Behaviour, Thought & Vitamin B-3

Dr. Hoffer’s ABC of Natural Nutrition for Children
In 1938, the American Journal of Medical Science (Vol. 196) published an article by T.D. Spies and colleagues titled “The mental symptoms of pellagra: their relief with nicotinic acid.” This article describes ‘subclinical pellagra’ in children. The symptoms include hyperactivity, perceptual difficulties, inappropriate social behavior, and, understandably, problems with school. Today, children with these same symptoms are labeled “hyperactive,” “ADD,” “emotionally disturbed,” “dyslexic,” or “minimally brain damaged,” depending upon the focus of the diagnostician. Pellagra affects perception, thought processes, mood, and behavior. It results from an inadequate amount of vitamin B-3, also known as niacin (nicotinic acid), or its amide (niacinamide).—In his new book Dr. Hoffer’s ABC of Natural Nutrition for Children, Abram Hoffer, a pioneer in orthomolecular psychiatry, refers to Spies’ article to show that the connection between pellagra, caused by niacin deficiency, and behavior abnormalities is not new information. Hoffer began using large doses of vitamins (particularly B3) and minerals to treat schizophrenics successfully in the 1950’s. His interest in treating children began when he entered private practice in 1967, and saw how quickly the few children who were referred to him responded to “optimal,” usually megadoses, of vitamin B-3. He has come to the conclusion that many of the children now being treated with Ritalin are actually suffering from what he calls, “vitamin B-3 dependent or subclinical. pellagra.” Dr. Hoffer’s ABC of Natural Nutrition for Children introduces the reader to orthomolecular medicine, explains current diagnostic protocols (his own and conventional medicine’s), tells how to treat and prevent learning and behavior disorders, and gives a substantial number of case studies from Dr. Hoffer’s personal research.—Depression, which can affect hyperactive and hypoactive children, and perceptual disturbances are often the first indications of pellagra. Like people with schizophrenia, affected children may hear voices. Foods may taste different to them. Letters appear upside down, and words slip around the page. Children may see objects or creatures among the shadows in the semi-dark. Usually, children are unable to describe these changes in their perceptions without help. Dr. Hoffer’s ABC of Natural Nutrition for Children includes a hundred-question Perceptual Dysfunction Test that can be completed by young children with the help of a parent. The PD Test was adapted by Dr. Glen Green from the HofferOsmond Diagnostic Test (HOD), which Dr. Hoffer and Dr.–Humphrey Osmond developed in 1960, to screen for schizophrenia. The HOD test can be used to evaluate mental health in children over 10 years old although Hoffer says that some children may have difficulty with some of the vocabulary. The HOD test is available as a computer program and at http://www. [email protected].—In addition to these questionnaires, a urine test can identify krytopyrroluria (IKP), a substance commonly found in the urine of schizophrenic patients. This substance causes a deficiency of B-6 (pyridoxine) and zinc by latching onto these nutrients and removing them from the body via urine. Hoffer has noticed that children with positive KP results also respond to B-3. While all of these tests and questionnaires may point to vitamin deficiency, the primary test is to give the child large doses of niacinamide or B-3 (often starting with 1 G tid). If the child’s perceptual and behavioral problems are caused by a deficiency, Hoffer says that improvement will be noticed within months (or sooner).—-Sugar craving and food allergies are other factors that Hoffer considers when treating perceptual and behavioral problems. Too much sugar in the diet can indicate nutrient deficiencies. A zinc deficiency can, in fact, cause sugar craving[U3]. Poorly nourished children are also more likely to absorb toxic metals, which are known to cause aberrant behavior and learning problems. Identifying food allergies is vital. Hoffer refers to numerous researchers and clinicians whose work over the past 75 years has shown that “…any food allergy can reproduce almost every known psychiatric syndrome from infantile autism and schirophrenia to mood and behavioral disorders.”[U4]—“Perceptual, thought, and mood disorders make it very difficult for the child to grow and develop properly,” writes Hoffer. “The difficulty of keeping up with their peers and with their parents’ expectations for them creates so much stress on these children that they develop psychosocial techniques for dealing with the problem, for example, not going to school or running away.” To Hoffer, these underlying disorders, which can be corrected with orthomolecular treatment, are like a hardware dysfunction in a computer. The psychosocial techniques that result as an adaptation to the biochemical problems are like computer software problems and must be corrected by “reprogramming … by the application of behavioral or other forms of therapy.” Behavioral therapies, however, will not resolve biochemical imbalances and vitamin deficiencies; nor, will drugs and tranquilizers. Until the orthomolecular or nutritional therapy causes improvement, however, Dr. Hoffer will prescribe drugs if needed. He prefers mellaril and imipramine to ritalin, which, he says, “has undesirable side effects … such as interfering with growth due to loss of appetite and causing possible drug addiction.”—-The basis of Dr. Hoffer’s treatment plan lies in a healthful diet, megavitamin therapy, and eliminating all refined sugars and junk processed foods. Vitamins B-3, B-6, and C and the mineral zinc are the nutrients most often required; but, Hoffer also uses optimal doses of other vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and amino acids. In this book he gives symptoms and signs of specific nutrient deficiencies as well as side effects from megadoses. Niacin/vitamin B-3, for example, can cause flushing, nausea, and jaundice, which disappears when the therapy is stopped. Hoffer tells about one child who turned yellow within days of starting B-3 therapy, “even though his liver function tests remained normal. On inositol niacinate he did not turn yellow over a five year period of observation.”—Compliance is the major problem with this treatment. Sometimes parents cannot or will not follow through. Sometimes children refuse to cooperate. Getting children, many of whom are addicted to sugar, to delete refined sugar from their diet can be a challenge. When children refuse to avoid sugar, Hoffer gives them permission to eat as much sugar as they want on Saturday if they agree to avoid it during the week. The headaches, nausea, and vomiting that results from the Saturday binge often convinces a child to avoid the sugary cause.–While writing this review, I heard of yet another child, a 7th grader, who shot 4 schoolmates and did not know whom he had shot. or why he had fired the gun. Psychologists talk about healing abandonment and disassociation. Gun control and calls for prayer and morality in the schools are also offered as solutions. But this rise in violence may well be caused by a “hardware” problem – a biochemical dysfunction due to nutritional deficiency.—We are seeing a growing interest in the effect of emotion and thought on biochemistry, but the other side of the holistic equation – biochemistry’s effect on behavior and emotions has received less attention. Dr. Hoffer’s ABC ofNatural Nutrition for Children offers vital information concerning the prevention and healing of mental disturbances and violence, demonstrated by too many of today’s children.

Modulation of antibiotic resistance in bacterial pathogens by oleanolic acid and ursolic acid.
    Phytomedicine. 2012 Apr 15;19(6):515-9
Authors: Kurek A, Nadkowska P, Pliszka S, Wolska KI
Abstract–Antibiotic resistance among bacterial pathogens is a serious problem for human and veterinary medicine, which necessitates the development of novel therapeutics and antimicrobial strategies. Some plant-derived compounds, e.g. pentacyclic triterpenoids such as oleanolic acid (OA) and ursolic acid (UA), have potential as a new class of antibacterial agents as they are active against many bacterial species, both Gram-positive and Gram-negative, and specifically target the cell envelope. The aim of the present study was to investigate the influence of OA and UA on the susceptibility of four bacterial pathogens (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis) to the β-lactam antibiotics ampicillin (Ap) and oxacillin (Ox). Antimicrobial assays were conducted with bacteria growing in liquid suspension cultures (planktonic cells) or as biofilms. Using FICI value estimation and the time-kill method it was demonstrated that in some combinations, the tested compounds acted in synergy to lower the susceptibility of S. aureus, S. epidermidis and L. monocytogenes to ampicillin and oxacillin, but no synergy was observed for P. aeruginosa. These results indicate that OA and UA may be useful when administered in combination with β-lactam antibiotics to combat bacterial infections caused by some Gram-positive pathogens.—PMID: 22341643 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE][U1]

Effects of thymol on B16-F10 melanoma cells.
    J Agric Food Chem. 2012 Mar 14;60(10):2746-52
    Authors: Satooka H, Kubo I
Abstract–Aromatic monoterpene, thymol, shows several beneficial activities, such as an antioxidative effect. However, the mechanism of its toxicity remains to be fully defined. In preliminary studies, thymol was characterized as a melanin formation inhibitor in an enzymatic system; however, thymol showed moderate cytotoxicity but not an antimelanogenic effect on B16-F10 melanoma cells. Thymol exhibited cytotoxicity, with an IC(50) value of 400 üM (60.09 üg/mL). This moderate toxic effect was suppressed with the addition of vitamin C and vitamin D, and 20 and 40% of cell viability was increased, respectively. Subsequently, the treatment of L-cysteine on thymol-treated melanoma cells reversed the toxic effect of thymol. Moreover, a significant oxidative stress condition was observed when B16 melanoma cells were cultured with thymol. In conclusion, the antioxidant actions of thymol generate a stable phenoxy radical intermediate, which generates reactive oxygen species and quinone oxide derivatives. Thus, it is proposed that the primary mechanism of thymol toxicity at high doses is due to the formation of antioxidant-related radicals.—TPMID: 22352891 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE]

    Stealth Adapted Viruses

Alternative cellular energy pigments from bacteria of stealth virus
    infected individuals

Center for Complex Infectious Diseases, 3328 Stevens Avenue, Rosemead, CA

Bacteria isolated from patients infected with stealth-adapted viruses can produce complex solid and thread-like structures similar to the alternative cellular energy pigments (ACE pigments) seen in cultures of stealth-adapted virus infected patients. Bacteria replication of stealthadapted viruses can explain why certain patients diagnosed as having delusional parasitosis insist that the particles that they believe are parasitic, increase in number even when outside of the body. Bacterial production of ACE pigments may also be contributing to the ACE pigments that can be isolated from the hair, sweat, and urine of such patients. The term viteria has been applied to stealth-adapted viruses that have acquired bacterial sequences.[U2] Viteria infected bacteria clearly pose an important public health problem and may lead to a wider dissemination of stealth-adapted viruses.——Introduction—Bacterial sequences were detected in a virus culture from a patient infected with an African green monkey simian cytomegalovirus-derived stealth-adapted virus (Martin, 1999a). It appeared that the stealth-adapted virus[U3]
had acquired the capacity to recombine with bacterial genetic sequences and presumably had overcome the normal barrier restricting eukaryotic virus growth in prokaryotes. This argument was strengthened by the isolation of metabolically atypical bacteria from stealthadapted virus positive individuals. Pigmented solid and thread-like structures also develop in long-term cultures of stealth-adapted viruses (Martin, 2003a).They are termed alternative cellular energy pigments[U4] (ACE pigments) and appear to provide a non-mitochondria source of cellular energy that can assist in cellular repair from the virus cytopathic effect [U5](CPE). Similar particles have been obtained from the hair and skin of stealth virus culture positive patients (Martin, 2005). Some of these patients can readily sense the presence of these particles and feel compelled to scratch the areas of abnormal sensation. Other patients have reported that their skin-derived particles have infected their households and markedly increase in numbers over time. One such patient reported having to continually buy fresh jars of cosmetics because those that she did use would become heavily contaminated with black specks similar to those adhering to the sponge she was using to apply her cosmetics. Along with other patients, her reports were clinically disregarded and attributed to delusional parasitosis (Bhatia et al., 2000; Goddard, 1995; Zomer et al., 1998). A more rational explanation is that the particles are ACE pigments derived from stealth-adapted virus infected bacteria. As described in this paper, ACE pigments can develop from bacterial cultures[U6]. This finding carries important public health implications, especially in light of the capacity of stealthadapted viruses to acquire potential oncogenes (Martin, 1999b). 0014-4800/$ – see front matter D 2005 Elsevier Inc. Results—Fecal and throat swabs have been plated on both regular agar and blood agar plates. The plates have been observed for unusual bacterial colonies and for the formation of discrete pigmented structures. Both in the primary cultures and in repassage, abnormal solid and thread-like structures can commonly be seen developing over several days, both within and between bacterial colonies (Fig. 1). The particles can be variously pigmented and will typically fluoresce if exposed to ultraviolet light. Bacteria have also been cultured in broth media and disrupted by repeated freeze–thawing. The filtered supernatants from centrifuged extracts have been added to MRC-5 cells. Within several days, foci of foamy vacuolated cells that are characteristic of the CPE caused by stealth-adapted viruses have been observed (data not shown). ——–Discussion—In spite of repeated publications, the concept of stealthadapted viruses has yet to be aggressively pursued by public health authorities. [U7]The finding that some stealth-adapted viruses were unequivocally derived from African green monkey simian cytomegalovirus (SCMV) (Martin, 1999c; Martin et al., 1995) did, however, lead to an analysis of previously released and licensed polio virus vaccines. Three of 8 lots of polio virus vaccines released in the mid-1970s were shown to be contaminated with SCMV DNA by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (Sierra-Honigmann and Krause, 2002). A patient with a chronic fatiguing and cognitively impairing illness recently decided to have his own blood and that of his ill father tested for SCMV by an animal testing laboratory. Both were reported positive for SCMV using an assay that shows no cross-reaction with human, baboon, or rhesus monkey cytomegalovirus (unpublished data). The patient also tested positive for brucellosis, a finding consistent with a prior report of the ncorporation of bacterial sequences, some of which were brucella-related, in the original SCMV-derived stealth-adapted virus isolate (Martin, 1999a). The term viteria was chosen to describe stealth-adapted viruses that had acquired bacterial sequences and which had apparently overcome the normal barrier restricting eukaryotic virus growth in prokaryocytes. The term vifungus was also introduced since some of the novel sequences in the stealth-adapted virus culture were of apparent fungal origin (Martin, 1999a). The present paper ties the observations that unusual solid and thread-like structures can form in both cultures of stealthadapted viruses and in cultures of bacteria obtained from stealth-adapted virus infected individuals. Within the virus cultures, these structures appear to allow for cellular repair from the virus cytopathic effect. Complex structures were also seen in surviving brain cells of a stealth virus infected child (Martin, 2003b). There was very extensive disruption of the cells’ mitochondria, suggesting that the complex structures were providing an alternative source of cellular energy. A similar conclusion was drawn from studies of the virus culture-derived structures. The particles were electrostatic, occasionally magnetic, auto-fluorescent, and electron donating (Martin, 2003a). Similar properties were seen with particles obtained directly from patients’ hair and skin
(Martin, 2005). Fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy showed that the solid and thread-like structures are conglomerates of much finer particles that appear capable of self-assembly. Several stealth-adapted virus infected patients have reported continually battling an accumulation of unusual fibrous and particulate materials within their household environments. The materials appear lifelike in that the fibers would occasionally sway or bend in the absence of any
apparent external force and the more solid particles would occasionally seemingly jump towards an object, including the patient. While it cannot be ruled out that energy-producing particles could undergo some form of self-replication, a more reasonable argument is that the products accumulating within the environment, and to some extent within the patients producing abundant amounts of such particles, are assembled from chemicals synthesized by viteria infected bacteria. Since the environmental accumulations have also been associated with extensive mold infestations, the possibility of vifungus infection of household molds is also worthy of consideration. Analyses of the bacteria-derived sequences in the prototype SCMV-derived stealth-adapted virus support the contention that the genes may be metabolically empowering to the bacteria. Many of the identified genes are involved in membrane transport phenomena and in redox reactions (Martin, 1999a and unpublished observations). As with stealth virus infected cultures, remarkable longevity exceed- Fig. 1. ing well beyond a year has been observed in bacterial cultures. In some of the broth cultures, the bacteria simply form a band slightly beneath the surface and remain essentially in a stationary phase until reintroduced into fresh broth. Upon passage, the bacteria replicate and re-establish a seemingly indefinitely surviving culture. The public has a right to be concerned about possible bacterial transmission of stealth-adapted viruses, especially in light of the increasing incidence of the many chronic illnesses potentially attributable to these viruses. Of particular concern is the finding that the prototype SCMV-derived stealth-adapted virus with bacteria-derived sequences had also acquired cellular genes for melanoma growth stimulatory activity, a postulated human oncogene (Martin, 1999b).

ALL AMERICANS WILL RECEIVE A MICROCHIP IMPLANT IN 2013 PER OBAMACARE

A major news story broke on AOL and countless other mainstream news media outlets, this past week, that the Obama Health Care Bill will require all U.S. citizens and babies to receive a microchip or Medchip by March 23, 2013. Whether or not the microchip requirement in the bill is implemented by 2013, remains to be seen.—In 2010, my book “Are You Ready for the Microchip?” was released, and I asked the question, “Is the microchip implant hidden in the Healthcare Bill? Are newborn children starting in 2013 going to receive a microchip shortly after birth?” Then in the book, I wrote, “ In the massive US HEALTHCARE BILL, which your elected representatives voted for without reading, there is a section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521 – National Medical Device Registry which states-“The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable. The language is deliberately vague, but it provides the structure for making America the first nation in the world that would require every U.S. citizen to receive an implanted radio-frequency (RFID) microchip for the purpose of controlling medical care.—A number of states like Virginia, have passed “stop the mark of the beast legislation” in an effort to stop this kind of legislation.—As with numerous other things that I have written and spoken about based on solid documentation, I am regularly challenged by some, and especially those in the Christian community, who are clueless about what is going on.[U8] Their criticism has never prevented me from presenting the facts, because I never take a poll about what I write or speak on. A Christian is called to speak the truth in love, whether or not it is accepted. I am not trying to disparage any ministry, but I don’t determine what I say based on whether or not it is “seeker friendly,” or popular. The only issue is, is it true and is it wise to communicate it at that particular time?–There are many things that I could say, but don’t, because there many people in our nation who, when confronted with a truth that is outside the box of their socially engineered consciousness, go into cognitive dissonance. As the microchip implant moves closer day by day, along with the “manufactured crisis” of illegal immigration, the problems of states like Arizona are creating an environment where Senators Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are moving legislation forward that would require all U.S. workers, citizens and resident alike, to obtain and carry a National Biometric ID Card in order to work within the United States. It does not matter where you stand on the issue of amnesty or immigration, everyone is going to have to have a National Biometric ID Card that will eventually contain an RFID transmitter which will allow Big Brother electronic data bases to track all of your personal information. It is a simply a national ID card under another name. The national ID card will transition into a microchip implant, because that is technically more efficient. All of this which is about to happen very soon, is just the tip of the iceberg.—President Ronald Reagan refused to pass what he called this “Mark of the Beast” legislation. In my book, “Are You Ready for the Microchip?,” I examine the careful wording in the Health Care Bill which calls for a Med-Chip and a microchip implant. It was never hidden, it is simply Republican and Democrat, along with our corporate-controlled and Orwellian media, who deliberately chose to ignore it. The Bilderberg Group gave orders to microchip the entire U.S. population and then the world. Before the Health Care Bill was passed, the target date was set for the year 2013, when every baby born in the U.S. will receive a microchip at birth. Many are attacking President Obama for this, but although it is the Obama Health Care Bill, the microchip plan was created decades ago and put onto the fast track by the Republican Administration of President George Bush and his allegedly “born-again” Attorney General, John Ashcroft, after 911. It seems Ashcroft was more concerned about covering up the breasts of a Lady Liberty statue in the hallway of the Department of Justice, than he was about protecting our Constitutional liberties, which include the freedom of religion.—Unfortunately, Evangelical Christians make excellent political pawns because they focus on secondary issues, rather than the important issues. This is because Evangelical Christianity in America today does not have a truly Biblical worldview. I truly do not want to sound unkind, but the historical reality is that Evangelical Christians have played the part of what Lenin called “useful idiots.” Obviously, this is not what God planned for His people. But, by rejecting a Biblical worldview, the Scripture, “My people perish for lack of knowledge,” is fulfilled. The majority of Evangelical Christians in America have a very superficial faith as a result of what they are being taught in many of their churches and seminaries.—The new microchip technology with an RFID chip is so advanced it sounds like science fiction. The Apostle Paul explains how this fits into Revelation 13, where the False Prophet will head a one world religion and force people to accept the mark of the beast. A microchip implant, biochip implant or med chip, in and of itself, is not necessarily the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast under the direction of the False Prophet, requires the conscious rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord and a commitment to worship the Antichrist as God.—The challenge for Christians and others will be the very act of taking a microchip implant, biochip implant or med chip, simply because of its parallel to the Biblical mark of the beast. Will people of faith be exempted for religious reasons or will they be forced to take it or imprisoned[U9]. In addition, any microchip technology could be activated with enhanced controls after it is implanted. So what starts out as a simple microchip implant could become a technology where at some future time, you must worship the Antichrist as God[U10], and reject Jesus Christ as Lord in order to participate in the economic system. The built-in and evolving capacity of microchip technology makes this a dangerous possibility.
In the final analysis, the simple act of accepting the implantation of a microchip for medical reasons appears harmless on the surface. However, there is no guarantee that once it is implanted, that it will not be activated for mark of the beast technology. This is the danger and challenge that lies before us.

Composition and health effects of phenolic compounds in hawthorn (Crataegus spp.) of different origins.
    J Sci Food Agric. 2012 Jun;92(8):1578-90
    Authors: Yang B, Liu P
Abstract–Epicatechin, aglycons and glycosides of B-type oligomeric procyanidins and flavonols, phenolic acids and C-glycosyl flavones are the major groups of phenolic compounds in hawthorn (Crataegus spp). The total content of phenolic compounds is higher in the leaves and flowers than in the fruits. Procyanidins dominate in the fruits, whereas flavonol glycosides and C-glycosyl flavones are most abundant in the leaves. Genotype and developmental/ripening stage have strong impacts. Procyanidin glycosides and C-glycosyl flavones may be chemotaxonomic markers differentiating species and varieties of hawthorn. Future research shall improve the separation, identification and quantification of procyanidins with degree of polymerisation (DP) ≥ 6, procyanidin glycosides, C-glycosyl flavones and some flavonol glycosides. In vitro and animal studies have shown cardioprotective, hypolipidaemic, hypotensive, antioxidant, radical-scavenging and anti-inflammatory potentials of hawthorn extracts, suggesting different phenolic compounds as the major bioactive components. However, the varying and insufficiently defined composition of the extracts investigated, as a result of different raw materials and extraction methods, makes comparison of the studies very difficult. Clinical evidence indicates that some hawthorn extracts may increase the exercise tolerance of patients with congestive heart failure. More clinical studies are needed to establish the effects of hawthorn, especially in healthy humans.–PMID: 22488722 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE]

The antimicrobial activities of processed Nigerian and South African black tea.
    Afr J Med Med Sci. 2010 Dec;39 Suppl:145-51
Authors: Ojo OA, Yunusa AO, Akindele SK, Vera VN, Fowora N
    Abstract
The antibacterial activity of processed Nigerian Lipton Tea and South African 5 Roses Tea, extracted using distilled water, chloroform and 70% ethanol were determined against nine (9) enteropathogenic bacteria which includes; Bacillus subtilis, Proteus sp, Enterobacter sp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi A, Salmonella arizona and Staphylococcus aureus. The 2 tea bags, Nigerian Lipton tea bag and the South African 5 Roses tea bag were extracted through Solvent extraction method using 3 extraction solvents; Distilled water, Chloroform and 70% Ethanol and then inoculated onto the Mueller-Hinton agar plates containing the standard isolates at 6 different points on each plate. The zones of inhibition of the bacterial isolates produced by each of these tea – extracts were determined while meaningful antibacterial activities against five (5) of the standard isolates; Enterobacter sp., K. pneumoniae, S. paratyphi A, B. subtilis and S. aureus were observed. Lipton tea water-extract was a more effective antibacterial agent than water-extract of 5 Roses tea. While the 70% ethanol-extract of 5 Roses tea had the greatest antibacterial activity of all the different tea-extract used for the study, the chloroform-extracts of the tea bags had no antimicrobial effect on all the test organisms used.—PMID: 22416657 [PubMed – indexed for MEDLINE]
Recipe on Black tea—take the teas mentioned—five rose tea was the more powerful of the 2 butt that does not mean the lipton will not be effective either—it just means it can be used and maybe more would have to be utilize to get the effect—take them and either boil them and drink or take the leaves and extract them in a alcohol base—in this case a 70% alcohol—If you cannot find this the use a smirnoff 50% or a Jamaican 53% or what ever you can find clear based and is a high percentage of alcohol—we will just have to be double extracted to get it more potent—what you do is take the tea –1/4 cup and add ½ cup of alcohol and 1/8 cup of water—blend at highest speed for 10 minutes—stop blender –strain and then add the extract back into the blender and add another 1/8 cup of tea and re blend again for another 7-10 minutes strain and then apply this using ½ tsp increments—or add it to your warm tea- and consume
